Kristen Pogreba-Brown, PhD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health where she is the Director of the Student Aid for Field Epidemiology Response (SAFER) team. Her most recent research activities are focused on the post-infectious sequelae of several infectious diseases including SARS-CoV2 and Campylobacter, a common foodborne disease. Dr. Pogreba-Brown’s long- term goal as an epidemiologist is to lead the synthesis of varying disciplines and data streams to significantly contribute to an improved understanding of the mechanisms that lead to both acute and long-term effects of infectious diseases. She is one of the founding faculty of the CoVHORT study and helps to direct several other long-CoVID studies with the CDC and NIH. Dr. Pogreba-Brown is a proud alumni of The University of Arizona.
