Chidera Ejike is an MPH Epidemiology student at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona. She is currently a Graduate Research Assistant for the CoVHORT-GI Project and the University of Arizona’s Student Aid for Epidemiology Response (SAFER) team. Her internship research work involves evaluating the impact of food insecurity and social outcomes on the severity of acute COVID-19, as well as the incidence of Post-acute Sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC). Chidera’s research interests encompass infectious epidemiology, disease prevention, disease surveillance, antimicrobial resistance, and rural health. When she has some downtime, she enjoys going on leisurely evening walks with her daughter, sewing, or watching quality movies.
